Miami Cardiologist Dr. Joaquin Diego

Dr. Diego founded Cardiology Healthcare of South Florida in 2007 to offer the people of the Miami area sophisticated, high-quality cardiovascular medicine.

After graduating from Universidad Central del Este, Dominican Republic, with a degree in medicine, Dr. Diego completed a cardiology fellowship at the Episcopal Heart Institute, Medical College of Pennsylvania, and a cardiovascular fellowship at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Diego was a resident (internal medicine) at Episcopal Hospital and at Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Diego also served in the departments of internal medicine and radiology at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Miami.

Dr. Diego is board certified in cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine, and is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Chest Physicians, American Society of Echocardiography, American College of Physicians, and others.

Dr. Diego is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). He has been staff cardiologist at Baptist Hospital in Miami, South Miami Hospital, Kendal Regional Medical Center, Pan American Hospital, and others.

Dr. Joaquin Diego, MD is an active Clinical Adjunct Faculty member of a Medical Campus for the School of Health Science at Miami Dade College physician assistant program.
